What is Smalljoy?
Smalljoy is a baby book and journal app for iPhone. You save what your kids say and do in a few seconds: talk and your words turn into text, or add a photo, a video, a voice note or a written note. Each child gets a private timeline, and every moment shows how old they were.
Where are my moments stored?
On your iPhone, inside the app. We don’t run servers that store your moments, and we can’t see them. If you turn on partner sharing, shared moments are also kept in the iCloud account of the person who started sharing.
Can my partner add moments too?
Yes. Turn on sharing in the app and invite one or more people through iCloud. Everyone you invite can see and add moments. Shared photos and videos count against the iCloud storage of the person who started sharing.
Does it turn my voice into text?
Yes. Your words appear as you speak, and the recording is saved too. Speech is turned into text on your phone, not on a server. If your iPhone can’t do this for your language, the recording is still saved and you can type the words yourself.
Can I get my moments out of the app?
Yes. Export saves every moment, photo, video and voice note as one file. It includes a journal you can open in any browser. Keep it in Files, iCloud Drive or anywhere you like.
How much does it cost?
Smalljoy is free for 7 days. After that it’s $49.99 a year or $6.99 a month, paid through your Apple Account. We remind you before the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime in your iPhone Settings.
Are there ads?
No. There are no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and we never sell your information.
What happens to my moments if I delete the app?
Moments that are only on your phone are deleted with the app. Export them first, or turn on partner sharing so they also live in iCloud.
