Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Smalljoy. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current period ends. You can also tap “Manage subscription” in the app under You.
I already subscribed, but the app asks me to pay again.
Open the app, go to You, and tap “Restore purchases”. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.
Where are my moments stored?
On your iPhone, inside the app. If you turn on family sharing, shared moments are also stored in iCloud. We can’t see your moments.
Will I lose my moments if I delete the app?
Yes, unless you use family sharing. Moments stored only on your phone are deleted with the app, so please don’t delete it if you want to keep them. You can also export all your moments as one file from the You tab first.
Why isn’t my voice turned into text?
Smalljoy transcribes on your device for privacy. If your iPhone doesn’t support on-device transcription for your language, your recording is still saved, and you can type the words yourself.
How do I refund a purchase?
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
